Aston Villa winger Kieran Richardson believes that the trip to Goodison Park this Saturday is going to be a tough one for his team.

Both teams are in search of three points in order to improve on their respective league positions, with Roberto Martinez's men particularly feeling the heat due to their current situation.

The Toffees are currently placed 17th in the table and are just two points ahead of relegation battlers Newcastle United.

The Villans have problems of their own with the former Manchester United player stressing that they need points too after three consecutive losses against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

"It will be a very hard game. Everton are a top side", Richardson told his club's official site.

Drawing reference from Everton's last game against Manchester United, which they lost 2-1, the 29-year-old added that in spite of a slow start to the season, the Toffees proved their strength against Louis van Gaal's team and will be hard to play against when they are at home.

"They've had a bit of a slow start but I watched them against Man United when they lost 2-1 and they were very, very strong.

"They should have got something out of that game.

"They're at home, they're strong at home and they need the points to crack on with their season but we're going into the game after three losses and we need the points too."
