Lille have ruled out Divock Origi bringing forward his move to Liverpool to the January transfer window.

Liverpool snapped up Origi from Lille in the summer transfer window, but as part of the deal the Belgium striker was sent back to his former club on a season-long loan.

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers would have liked to have had Origi at his disposal for this term and it has been suggested Liverpool could look to move forward the date of the player's arrival.

That has been quickly rubbished by Lille director Jean-Michel Vandamme however.

Asked by Sky Italia whether Liverpool could draft Origi into Anfield in January, he replied: "It's impossible.

"He'll stay here until June."

The 19-year-old has been in good form for Lille already this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in seven Ligue 1 games.

He also hit the back of the net for Belgium over the recent international break, helping himself to a goal in a Euro 2016 qualifier against Andorra.
