Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri does not believe his club will sell Arturo Vidal to Manchester United in the January transfer window.

Vidal was chased by the Red Devils throughout the summer, but Juventus stuck to their no-sale stance on the Chile international and as the window slammed shut he remained in Turin.

He recently angered the Juventus hierarchy by going out late before the club's Serie A match against Roma, copping a fine of €100,000 as a result.

It has been claimed that the Italian champions are now ready to sell Vidal in the new year, perhaps for as little as €35m.

But that is news to Allegri, who feels the 27-year-old will stay put.

"The club has been very clear on Vidal", he told the BBC.

"This season Vidal is a Juventus player and I think there's no possibility that in January he'll go to Manchester", Allegri added.
