Unlike last season, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is not expecting an easy ride against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

The English champions handed out two drubbings to Tottenham last season. They won 6-0 at home and thrashed Spurs 5-1 at White Hart Lane as they marched on to their second league title in three years.

The Citizens again welcome Tottenham on Saturday, but Pellegrini is expecting a different sort of game this time.

The Chilean stressed that they are not going to score five or six goals every time they face Spurs and he is expecting a tougher fight from Mauricio Pochettino’s men at the Etihad.

“We are not expecting to score 6 goals every time we play Tottenham”, the Chilean said in a press conference this afternoon.
