Younes Kaboul has insisted that Tottenham are not worried about their performance last season against Manchester City.

Spurs lost 6-0 and 5-1 against the Premier League champions under the management of Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood respectively and the north London side will be looking to set the record straight at the Etihad this weekend.

The Frenchman stressed that there is no point in digging up past wounds and said that the squad need to put their best foot forward against the champions tomorrow.

“Last season’s games are in the past and in football you always have to focus on the present and look to the future”, Kaboul told the club’s official site.

“We can’t wait for this match, we want to go there and play our game.”

Kaboul insisted that if they can replicate their performance against Arsenal tomorrow at the Etihad, then they have a good chance of getting a positive result against the Citizens and proving their mettle.

“We need to repeat the same performance as we produced against Arsenal.

"In these big games we need to do something to show everyone what we are capable of.”

Tottenham are currently sitting in sixth in the Premier League table on eleven points.
