Hertha Berlin striker Salomon Kalou has insisted that it will be a pleasure for him to meet his former manager Roberto Di Matteo during the match against Schalke on Saturday.

Kalou was part of Di Matteo's Chelsea team that won the Champions League in 2012, but left the club that summer after his contract with the Pensioners expired. Eventually the Swiss manager was also sacked the same year after a loss to Juventus in the same tournament, that all but eliminated last year's winners.

And as the former Chelsea boss prepares to begin his reign at the Veltins-Arena with the match against Kalou's current side, the 29-year-old is excited about the prospect of meeting his former manager.

"Roberto is a great coach and a good person", Kalou told the Berliner Morgenpost.
