Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has no doubts over Arturo Vidal's ability to contribute for the Bianconeri this season, dubbing the midfielder a "warrior".

Vidal was at the centre of a transfer saga over the summer as Manchester United were linked with wanting to take him to Old Trafford, while injury has interrupted his campaign thus far with the Italian champions.

Off the pitch he was pictured out late at night before Juventus played Roma recently, being fined €100,000 as a result.

He has again been linked with leaving Juventus in January and is continuing to attempt to get over another injury niggle.

But Marotta has every expectation that Vidal can aid the Bianconeri this term.

"Vidal is being talked about a bit too much", Marotta said before Juventus played out a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo this evening.

"He returned yesterday and we need to have an additional dose in his performances.

"He is a warrior and we are optimistic about what he can contribute in the future", the CEO added.
