FC Twente striker Luc Castaignos admits he is looking at Chelsea hitman Diego Costa as his inspiration

Castaignos was tipped for the top from an early age and headed to link up with Italian giants Inter from Feyenoord in 2011.

He struggled for first team chances in Italy however and is now back in his native Netherlands with Twente.

Castaignos has enjoyed a strong start to the season, scoring five goals in eight Eredivisie games so far.

And Chelsea's Costa is, he explains, an inspiration.

"I'm not a typical FC Twente striker", Castaignos told De Telegraaf.

"Here they were accustomed to a target man. Thanks to the technical staff I have also developed in that area of the pitch.

"That's why I watch Chelsea's Diego Costa.

"He keeps going, is super strong and scores lots of goals when he is picked.

"I have great respect for him.

"Of course, from his movement I learn a lot.

"For a type of player like me, he really is an example."
