Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has refused to be drawn on talk he could return to Monaco before he hangs up his boots for good.

Henry has not been offered an extension to his contract with MLS side New York Red Bulls and is expected to officially retire once the side's campaign is over.

It has been speculated he could return to the club at which he started his career, Monaco, for one final swansong.

But Henry does not know where the rumour has come from and has refused to confirm whether he is pondering a return to the Stade Louis II.

"I have no reaction", he told Le Figaro when asked.

"I do not know where that [rumour] came from, so I can only talk about concrete things", the 37-year-old added.

Henry began his career at Monaco, progressing through the youth ranks and establishing himself at the Stade Louis II.

He headed to Juventus in 1999 before linking up with Arsenal.

The striker turned out for Barcelona between 2007 and 2010, and then headed to the United States.
