Cesc Fabregas has saluted Chelsea's 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace today, but brushed off suggestions the Blues' current crop can match his old club Arsenal's unbeaten league campaign.

Oscar opened the scoring with just six minutes on the clock at Selhurst Park, but before half-time both teams would be reduced to ten men, Cesar Azpilicueta seeing red for Chelsea, while Damien Delaney was sent off for the hosts.

Fabregas then scored his first goal for the Blues in the 51st minute, while a late goal from Fraizer Campbell was nothing more than a consolation for Palace.

"We played a great second half especially for ten against then. Oscar's fantastic goal helped us and after the break it was a completely different game. It was a solid performance", Fabregas told the BBC.

"Palace were man-marking me in the first half so it was difficult for me to get into space but 80% of the game was ours. I play deeper now so it will not be a party every game for me. I will go five or six games without a goal or an assist at times and I am more proud about our discipline", the Spaniard added.

"Do we feel invincible? This is a joke. Arsenal went unbeaten in 2003/4, that will never happen again."

Chelsea, who remain unbeaten in the Premier League, still sit top of the table and have collected 22 points from eight games, five clear of second-placed Manchester City.
