Mathieu Flamini has conceded Arsenal are experiencing a "bad period" after they could only draw 2-2 with Hull City at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsene Wenger's men needed an injury time goal from summer signing Danny Welbeck to rescue a point against the Tigers and Arsenal now sit eleven points behind league leaders Chelsea after just eight games.

Arsenal have won just twice so far this season in the league and Flamini accepts that everything is not a bed of roses at the Emirates Stadium.

"It’s true. We’re having injuries but we don’t want to hide behind any excuses. We’re facing the truth – we didn’t win today and we’ll try to find a solution for the next games", the French midfielder told his club's site.

"Today Hull had two shots on target and they scored two goals. Chelsea had three shots on target and they scored three goals so it’s very difficult", he added, hinting at bad luck.
