Arsenal have stepped up their interest in young Barcelona goalkeeper Andre Onana as they seek to complete another raid on the Camp Nou.

The Gunners have gained a reputation for snatching young gems from Barcelona, offering them a lucrative financial package and the promise of a quicker route into the first team.

Cameroon-born goalkeeper Onana is now in Arsenal's sights and according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the Gunners have now contacted the 18-year-old's agent to formally register their interest.

Onana's contract with Barcelona expires next summer and the Catalan giants are thought to be concerned about a potential departure.

The custodian for his part is thought to be worried about his chances of regular first team football at Barcelona, especially given the club's signing of Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the summer.
