Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor has praised the Hoops' returning players Mikael Lustig, Charlie Mulgrew and Adam Matthews, along with new boy John Guidetti, for their performances against Ross County this weekend.

The 21-year-old contributed to the scoresheet, as his team managed to put behind them the disappointment of a 1-0 loss to Hamilton earlier this month and return to winning ways with a 5-0 win against the Dingwall men.

While reflecting on the win, the Scottish midfielder insisted that the return of key experienced players like Mulgrew and Matthews was important for his team.

“It’s massive to have these guys back", McGregor told his club's official site.

"Charlie is really experienced as well and he gives you that quality on the ball and he brings some real leadership qualities.

"It’s great to have him back and Mikael too, they were excellent again."

McGregor also took time to talk about Guidetti, who joined on loan from Manchester City this summer, revealing that he enjoyed playing with the 22-year-old.

"I also enjoyed playing with John Guidetti. He takes the ball well and he’s intelligent and he can spot your runs."
