Celtic playmaker Jo Inge Berget believes that his team have a "fair chance" of doing well against Europa League opponents Astra on Thursday.

The Bhoys are so far unbeaten in the tournament and a win against the Romanian outfit would ensure that they remain firmly on course to qualify through to the next round of the tournament.

While reflecting on their performance in the tournament so far, the Cardiff City-contracted played insisted that the away fixture against Salzburg was the toughest match for his team and they did well to come back with a point. He was also satisfied with the win against Dinamo Zagreb.

And now a win against Astra would put them in a fair position for the next round, according to the 24-year-old.

“We have already made a great start in the group”, Berget told his club's official site.

“Salzburg away is one of the most difficult games you can get and we got a good point there, and then we won at home against Dinamo, which was important.

“Now we have Astra at home, and if we can get another victory it would put us in a great position, and I feel we have a fair chance of doing pretty well."

As far as the Hoops' domestic performances are concerned, the defending champions are currently placed fifth in the league with 17 points from nine games and will take on Kilmarnock next on Sunday.
