Lukas Podolski has rubbished the speculation of him joining Tottenham Hotspur from Arsenal.

The 29-year-old forward was linked with a move to Juventus and Galatasaray after the World Cup, but injuries to key attacking personnel at Arsenal meant Arsene Wenger was reluctant to part with Podolski in the summer.

But the German has been reduced to the status of a fringe player at the Emirates and is still waiting for his first league start of the season.

Galatasaray are still maintaining an interest in him, but reports earlier today indicated that Tottenham are ready to make a shock move for the Arsenal forward.

Given the bitter rivalry that exists between the Gunners and Spurs, the transfer always seemed unlikely and the player himself has now rubbished the rumours linking him with a move to White Hart Lane.
