Ternana president Francesco Zadotti is adamant that there are no regrets over selling striker Mirco Antenucci to Leeds United this summer.

Antenucci starred up front for Ternana last term and struck the back of the net 19 times in Serie B for the club.

Ternana were keen to keep hold of Antenucci, but proved helpless in the face of a determined approach from Leeds.

And now, with Ternana sitting just 13th in Serie B, having collected ten points from eight games, the question of whether Antenucci should have been sold is being raised.

"No [I don’t miss him], it was a choice that we made and there is no point in looking back", Zadotti explained to Radio Onda Libera.

"The choices of the market are not choices of the heart", he added.

Antenucci has hit the ground running at Leeds, impressing and becoming a firm fan favourite.

The Italian has so far bagged three goals in nine Championship appearances for the Whites.
