Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has urged national team managers to stop treating their players in a selfish way.

Diego Costa, Andre Schurrle and Ramires are all out injured and all of them will also miss Chelsea’s Champions League group game against NK Maribor tomorrow.

The Chelsea manager stated last week that he is powerless in front of the national team managers, but feels that it is time they start treating their players in a less selfish way.

"There are no laws to protect players [on international duty]”, Mourinho said in a press conference.

"It's just the mentality of the national teams and their coaches – it's up to them whether they want to take good care of the players or treat them in a selfish way.”

Mourinho said that he never asked his players to feign injury during national duty and he wants his players to do well for their respective countries.

"I don't tell the players not to go or to pretend to have problem.

"We like our players to succeed in their national teams, but it's something that is out of our hands."
