Pablo Zabaleta has claimed that Manchester City are still not thinking about winning the Champions League.

Manchester City are currently third in their Champions League group, behind Bayern Munich and Roma, and are desperate for a win against CSKA Moscow tomorrow.

A win will help them get their European campaign back on track, but the Citizens are still not thinking in the terms of winning the competition.

"We're not thinking about that”, Zabaleta was quoted as saying by the BBC.

Manchester City made it out of the Champions League group stage for the first time last season and the Argentine believes that the club are always improving when it comes to European football.

But he indicated that they are still not at a level where they can think about winning the competition.

"Sometimes it takes time.

"We know we are a team, a club that have been improving the last few years but the Champions League demands much.

" We are improving year by year but to win the competition is difficult.

"We want to win, so we have to keep doing what we're doing, which is working hard."

Bayern Munich will take on Roma in the other Group E fixture tomorrow at the Stadio Olimpico.
