Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is confident that his side will not face any problems without Diego Costa for their Champions League clash against Maribor tonight.

The striker, who joined the Blues from Spanish champions Atletico Madrid in the summer, has been in prolific form for his new employers.

Costa has already scored nine goals in as many appearances for Chelsea, in addition to scoring his maiden goal for Spain during the international break.

However, the 26-year-old, who missed his side’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend with a hamstring injury, has also been ruled out of Chelsea’s meeting with Maribor at Stamford Bridge.

But Matic believes fellow forwards Didier Drogba and Loic Remy are more than capable of troubling rival defences in the absence of Costa.

“Every player in our team is very important for us”, Matic explained to his club’s official site.

“Diego is our best goalscorer at the moment but we have two great strikers available and I’m sure we won’t have any problems.”
