Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has revealed that his side’s result against Ajax in the Champions League tonight will have no bearing on his team selection for Saturday’s El Clasico.

The Catalan giants, who are currently two points clear at the top of La Liga's table, lost their previous Champions League outing 3-2 against Paris Saint-Germain.

Hence the Spaniard wants Barcelona to fully concentrate on bagging the full three points against Ajax at the Camp Nou rather than focusing on the upcoming high-voltage clash against Real Madrid at the weekend.

“At the moment, all of our thoughts are on the Ajax game”, he told UEFA’s official site.

“The players understand the importance of these three points if we want to progress from the group.

“Then we will have our training sessions to decide how to approach the Clasico.

“I will have no doubts about my team at the Santiago Bernabeu, regardless of the result against Ajax.”

Barcelona, who thrashed Ajax 4-0 at the Camp Nou last season, are presently second in Group F of the Champions League with three points from two games, just one adrift of leaders PSG.
