Norwegian teen sensation and Manchester United and Liverpool target Martin Odegaard will visit the clubs chasing his signature at the start of next year before making a decision on his future.

The 15-year-old is wanted by a who’s who of the European elite, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Norway coach Per-Mathias Hogmo advised him earlier this month not to join one of the elites of European football and opt for a club such as Ajax, who are known for their good work with young footballers.

Odegaard played for Norway against Bulgaria last week, in the process becoming the youngest ever player to appear in European Championship qualifiers.

And he confirmed that he will visit some of the top European clubs at the start of next year before making a decision on his future.

The midfielder explained that he is taking part in the exercise because he wants to make an informed choice for his future.

“It is true that I will visit some of the major European clubs at the end of the [Norwegian] season”, Odegaard was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.

“This is because I want to be sure about the choice for my future. I need to see and hear and feel the environment [of my prospective new club].

“If I leave [Norway], I will only leave for a big club.”

He has clocked up 22 appearances for Stromsgodset this term, scoring five goals and providing six assists.
