Aaron Cresswell is eyeing a top ten finish in the league for West Ham after a flying start to the new season.

After briefly flirting with relegation last season, West Ham have made a flying start to the new campaign. They are currently fourth in the league table on 13 points.

The Hammers welcome Manchester City next weekend and the Cresswell is looking forward to the test that the league champions can provide to the in-form West Ham team.

"Man City are one of the best teams in the Premier League, but we're going to go into that game full of confidence, flying and looking forward to it”, the 24-year-old told West Ham TV.

Given their start to the season, the full-back sees no reason why West Ham cannot aim for a top ten finish at the end of the campaign.

The full-back made 131 appearances for Ipswich in the Championship before joining the Premier League outfit this summer and he is keen to prove himself in the top flight.

"We've played eight games, got 13 points, if we keep that sort of form there's no reason why we can't make the top ten. I think that's realistically a good achievement for us, anywhere in the top ten.

"On and off the pitch it's going well for me down here. The main thing for me was to get my head down, work hard and hopefully try to stay in the team as long as I can."
