Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart feels his side’s 2-2 draw with CSKA Moscow yesterday in the Champions League was a “fair result.”

The Citizens, who came into the game on the back of a 4-1 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, dominated proceedings in the first half at the Arena Khimki.

Goals from Sergio Aguero and James Milner put Manchester City 2-0 up by the 38th-minute in chilling conditions and it seemed the English champions were en route to registering their first Champions League win of the season.

But the Russian outfit upped their game after the break and made it 2-1 in the 64th minute through Seydou Doumbia before Bibras Natcho’s late penalty secured a point for the home team.

And Hart, who admitted Manchester City were “poor” in the second half, however refused to blame the weather for his side’s inability to bag the full three points.

“It was a difficult game. We played well in the first half but in the second half we were too open”, the England international explained to UEFA’s official site.

“It was a fair result if I am being honest. We were poor in the second half.

“It was very cold in the first half and the wind was difficult and made a big difference.

“I could not feel my hands in the second half, but this is not an excuse as it is the same for both sides and we did not play well enough.”
