PSV Eindhoven winger Florian Jozefzoon has revealed how former Tottenham Hotspur boss Martin Jol marked him out for big things at Ajax.

The 23-year-old came through the youth system at Ajax and played at the Amsterdam club when Jol was in charge, impressing the Dutch tactician almost at once.

Jozefzoon says that after one particularly impressive darting, dribbling run in training, Jol predicted he would end up plying his trade at Real Madrid.

The winger explained to Voetbal International: "During my second training session he predicted I'd have a future at Real Madrid.

"I made a few moves at full speed and ran past Oleguer, [Jan] Vertonghen and [Toby] Alderweireld as if they were not there.

"'Within three years you'll be playing at Real Madrid' Jol shouted.

"I didn't know exactly how I should interpret that, but the confidence he had in me was unprecedented.

"Occasionally I still see him. I think he's a great guy."

Jozefzoon, who has represented the Netherlands at Under-19 and Under-21 level, moved on from Ajax to RKC Waalwijk in 2012, before being snapped up by PSV Eindhoven in 2013 where he is still continuing his development.
