Wesley Sneijder’s agent has warned Galatasaray of a breach of contract if they again delay his client’s salary.

It emerged earlier this month that the Turkish giants paid a fraction of the salary that Sneijder was due and the player was ready to make a move away from the club, with around €1m in wages owed.

However, the issue was resolved last week and the player himself insisted that it was blown out of proportion, while he then went on to score both Galatasaray's goals in a 2-1 derby win over Fenerbahce.

But his agent, Guido Albers, is still taking the issue seriously and warned Galatasaray not to mess around with his client’s salary in the future.

He added that any further transgression on Galatasaray’s part will be seen as a breach of contract and revealed that it was not the first time the club were guilty of late salary payment.

“I have informed the board that if they come up with late payments again, there is a risk of breach of contract”, Albers told NTV SPOR.

“This was not the first time they defaulted. Last year there were problems but we reached a compromise.

“But we will no longer allow this to happen.”

With Sneijder’s future still uncertain, Manchester United will again closely monitor his situation in Turkey, after being continually linked with him at points over the last 12 months.
