Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes his side can still qualify to the knockout round of the Champions League, following their 2-2 draw with CSKA Moscow yesterday.

The English champions, who are yet to win a game in the continental competition this season, went into the half-time break 2-0 up, courtesy of goals from Sergio Aguero and James Milner.

But CSKA reduced their arrears in the 64th minute through Seydou Doumbia before Bibras Natcho’s 86th-minute spot-kick shared the spoils for the home side at the Arena Khimki.

The draw meant the Citizens are currently third in Group E with two points from three outings, seven behind leaders Bayern Munich two and adrift of second-placed Roma.

However, with three group stage games still to be played, Pellegrini insisted that Manchester City will fight to the end to qualify for the next round.
