Manchester United full-back Rafael has stressed that Manchester United need to up their game against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

After two back-to-back wins against West Ham and Everton respectively, Manchester United needed a late Daley Blind equaliser to rescue a point away to West Brom on Monday.

But Rafael is counting on Manchester United’s recent form at Old Trafford and feels that they can beat anybody at home, including Chelsea.

After their opening defeat against Swansea City at home, the Red Devils have won three on the bounce at Old Trafford.

“Everyone is beatable. We have to do our best, of course. They are playing well. We’re playing at Old Trafford though and we’ve been getting results there so they are definitely beatable”, the Brazilian told the club’s official site.

However, the full-back feels Manchester United need to up their game against Chelsea to get a positive result and play better than they did in their 2-2 draw against the Baggies earlier this week.

“Football is about results and, when you don’t play well and draw, like on Monday night, of course everyone will speak. But hopefully we can play well against Chelsea and, if we get the result, it would be very positive for us and the whole team.”

Rafael is expected to retain his position in the team and said that he is excited at the prospect of being part of such a big game at Old Trafford and believes that Manchester United have it in them to put one over the league leaders if they can maintain their consistency on Sunday.

“I’ve been involved in a lot of these [big] games. I love to play these games. They always have a great atmosphere. I’m sure Old Trafford will be very loud again.

“It will be hard because they are playing well. We just have to concentrate and do our best, and I hope we can get the result we want.”
