Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has insisted that his side “must think only of victory” when they take on Malmo in a Champions League fixture tonight.

Last season’s Champions League finalists, who defeated Italian champions Juventus 1-0 earlier in the month, are currently third in Group A with three points from two games.

On the other hand, Malmo defeated Olympiacos 2-0 in their last Champions League outing to move atop the group standings by virtue of having a better goal difference.

And Simeone, whose side began their European adventure with a 3-2 loss to Olympiacos, underlined the importance of Atletico Madrid coming out with the full three points from the Vicente Calderon against the Swedish outfit.

“We have to play a smart match, be alert and put the ball in the best areas for us”, he told UEFA’s official site.

“We always try to work with all of our players at making the team structure stronger.”

Group A has thus far proved to be the most competitive Champions League group of the season with all four teams currently having three points from two games.
