Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar has urged his side to return to winning ways, ahead of their Premier League fixture with Queens Park Rangers on Monday.

The Villains, who enjoyed a good start to the 2014/15 campaign, have lost their last four league games and presently find themselves 12th in the standings with 10 points from eight outings.

After their impressive 1-0 win over Liverpool last month, Aston Villa have tasted consecutive defeats at the hands of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Everton respectively.

And Vlaar, who admitted his side endured some difficult fixtures lately, wants Aston Villa to get back on the winning track against QPR.

However, the centre-back knows that the contest at Loftus Road will be far from easy.

"We've had some tough fixtures, games which were incredibly difficult”, Vlaar explained to the club’s official site.

"We have obviously lost the last few games but now we want to get back on the winning side.

"We had a great start – the win over Liverpool was great – and now the moment has come to build on that.

"It will be a tough, tough game at Loftus Road. But the players will push each other forward. We're all focused and determined to get back on track."
