Sunderland have signed former French international Anthony Reveillere on a contract until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old joined Napoli in November last year, but he was released by the club earlier this summer.

He was on the lookout for a new side and Sunderland have swooped for the Frenchman, who earned 19 international caps for France.

Pending international clearance, Reveillere might make his debut for the club this weekend against Arsenal.

The 34-year-old made his name at Lyon, where he made more than 300 appearances, winning seven trophies, including five Ligue 1 titles.
