Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs feels his side deserved the full three points, following their hard-fought 2-1 win over Anderlecht in the Champions League last night.

After a goalless first half in Belgium, Anderlecht took a 71st minute lead through Andy Najar and it seemed the home team were on course to a memorable victory.

However, Gibbs equalised for the Gunners in the 89th minute before Lukas Podolski’s injury-time strike helped the Premier League giants to notch up their second successive win in the Champions League this term.

And Gibbs, who believed his side dominated proceedings against Anderlecht, lauded the Emirates Stadium outfit’s fighting spirit and hard work until the end.

“It's never easy playing away in the Champions League, but I felt the team controlled quite a lot of the game and I felt we deserved it and created a lot of chances”, the defender told UEFA’s official site.
