Former Manchester United first team coach Phil Neville feels that some of the Liverpool players are getting fed up of Mario Balotelli’s antics.

Balotelli was substituted at the break in Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat against Real Madrid last night and while the players were coming off the pitch, the Italian swapped shirts with Pepe, which left Brendan Rodgers fuming.

The Italian international has so far scored once this season for Liverpool and the latest controversy has only increased the level of criticism against him.

And the former Manchester United man feels that Balotelli’s body language is just not right and he believes that some of the Liverpool players are now getting infuriated by the Italian’s antics.

“I watched the game on Sunday against QPR and sometimes we all go through bad periods in football but it’s the body language that I'm not impressed with”, Neville told BBC Radio 5 live.

“Particularly on Sunday I saw some of his team-mates getting a little bit fed up with his antics, he can infuriate you.”

Neville feels Balotelli’s attitude towards football is one of the key reasons why he has failed to settle down in any of his previous clubs and said that the Italian only plays for himself.

“He has not been good enough so far and it is the reason he didn’t stay at Manchester City and it is the reason why AC Milan let him go and it is the reason why he cost £16m because you don’t know what you are going to get from him.

“I am not a Balotelli fan. I prefer team players and Balotelli is someone who only plays for Mario Balotelli.”
