Leeds United legend Eddie Gray believes that Steve Morison must take his chance if given the nod to start against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road tomorrow.

The Whites will be without Souleymane Doukara, who is suspended, opening up an opportunity to play up front alongside Mirco Antenucci.

Morison, Brian Montenegro and Billy Sharp, although the latter has an injury niggle, are all vying to start.

Morison has been tipped to get the nod from manager Darko Milanic however and Gray feels if he does then it is vital he grabs his opportunity with both hands, especially as it would give Leeds further options when Doukara returns.

"If Steve gets his chance, especially in a game like this, a high profile game, with a big crowd, he'll want to prove he that he can play up front", Gray told LUTV.

"The thing about Steve Morison, if he comes in and proves it, it gives you other options because Doukara could play in a wide area and seems happier to me on the flanks", he added.

Morison, who has been restricted to brief substitute appearances, admitted earlier this month he is desperate to show what he can do at Elland Road.

"I spent the summer getting myself right, came back and to be fair I felt I was firing on all cylinders in pre-season, thought I was doing really well. I got the setback. I'm back now and I feel like I'm back where I was two years ago. I'm ready and it'll be nice to shut a few people up", he explained.
