Manchester United have no players back from injury ahead of their crunch Premier League meeting with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal has been wresting with injuries throughout his time in charge at Old Trafford, but has recently seen several players return to the fold.

However, he will still have the same squad that grabbed a 2-2 draw away at West Brom on Monday night, with no other players fit enough to return, he has revealed.

Van Gaal told a press conference: "Ander Herrera was already fit and [Angel] di Maria said after the game that it wasn't so heavy and it's not. It was only the first day he didn't train, so it's no problem.

"I'm sorry to say no other players are back, even if I let [Michael] Carrick play in London for reserves because he needs to play matches when you are five months injured.

"He told me it was his first game for the reserves."

Manchester United head into the game sitting ten points adrift of Chelsea in the Premier League, with the Blues topping the table on 22 points from eight games.

Van Gaal has not yet ruled the Red Devils out of the title race however and victory over Chelsea on Sunday would be a big boost to the club, as well as cutting the gap to Jose Mourinho's men to seven points.
