Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has conceded his side were well beaten by Real Madrid in El Clasico at the Bernabeu earlier today.

Enrique saw his men quickly take the lead when Neymar found the back of the net in just the third minute, stunning Real Madrid and putting the Catalans firmly in control.

But they would not hold their lead for long after Gerard Pique handled in the box, leading to Cristiano Ronaldo blasting home a penalty in the 35th minute.

Real Madrid applied pressure in the second half, scoring through Pepe, while Barcelona were then compelled to open up.

And Karim Benzema struck for Los Blancos, putting them 3-1 ahead, the scoreline the game would end at.

Enrique has no complains, telling his post-match press conference: "I was looking for a different type of game, not so open, and with better defence on our behalf.

"We started out well but then they had clearer chances. We could have made it 2-0, but overall it was a tough first half.

"Our rivals played quite well and deserved to win."
