Brondby coach Thomas Frank has dubbed Daniel Agger "class" and believes the former Liverpool centre-back is continuing to steadily improve from game to game.

Agger helped Brondby keep a clean sheet in a tough encounter away at Esbjerg last night, with the Superliga clash ending 0-0.

For Frank, Agger's improvement is clear to see and Brondby are starting to reap the rewards of having been able to snap up the defender for around just £3m from Liverpool in the summer.

"Agger is a class player and he obviously means a lot to us", Frank explained via Bold.

"In daily training sessions we work on the defence a lot and all have improved and stepped up, as has been clear to see in the last few matches."

And all in all Frank was happy with his side's defence, led by Agger, against Esbjerg.

"We gave some opportunities to Esbjerg. It's part of the game and you will never be able to keep an opponent quiet completely, but I think we look crisper and sharper."

Brondby currently sit fifth in the Danish Superliga, having collected 18 points from 12 games.
