Martin Odegaard's father, Hans-Erik, has thanked Ajax coach Frank de Boer for warm words about his son and revealed that after the Norwegian season ends the midfielder will visit a number of interested clubs.

The 15-year-old sensation, who turns out for Stromsgodset in Norway and is a full international, is wanted by a whole host of Europe's elite clubs.

Manchester United and Liverpool head up the English interest, while Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund want Odegaard in Germany.

Barcelona and Real Madrid see the wonderkid as best served by moving to Spain, and Italian champions Juventus are keen to welcome Odegaard to Italy.

De Boer's Ajax are also keen and the former defender has lavished praise on the midfielder, while stressing a switch to the Amsterdam ArenA would be better for Odegaard's long-term development as he would receive first team opportunities quicker.

That is music to Hans-Erik's ears, though it has not sealed the deal.

"It's great that he says such things about my son", Hans-Erik told Norwegian daily VG.

"It is not surprising he is recommending Ajax though.

"I've spoken when many clubs and after this season we will explore this by visiting some clubs.

"We have not yet decided which clubs and it is not clear when we will do that yet either."
