Filippo Inzaghi has insisted that his AC Milan side are slowly but surely growing into a formidable outfit.

The Rossoneri failed to qualify for European football last season, which led to the sacking of Clarence Seedorf this summer, and are desperate to finish in a Champions League place this term.

Inzaghi was handed the responsibility of getting AC Milan back into the Champions League and his side are currently sixth in Serie A on 15 points, a point adrift of third placed Udinese.

The former Azzurri striker feels that his AC Milan side are slowly evolving into a formidable outfit again in Italy.

Tomorrow’s away fixture against Cagliari is another opportunity for AC Milan to display their progress and their manager wants a win as it will propel them into the Champions League spots for the time being.

“This Milan side are slowly growing”, Inzaghi said in a press conference today.

“And we are slowly changing the perception others have about us.

“Tomorrow [against Cagliari] it will be a tough game but we know a win would help us to jump up the table.”
