AC Milan are keen to rope in Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi on a loan deal during the winter transfer window, according to Spanish daily AS.

The 24-year-old joined Los Blancos from their La Liga rivals Real Sociedad last summer on a six-year deal for around €30m.

However, Illarramendi has found game time hard to come by at the Santiago Bernabeu this season after Real Madrid strengthened again in the summer.

The Spaniard has thus far made 10 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid in the present campaign, mostly coming on as a substitute.

And AC Milan are confident about convincing Real Madrid to send Illarramendi on loan to the San Siro, once the winter transfer window open on 1st January.
