Craig Gordon feels playing two strikers up front, John Guidetti and Stefan Scepovic, was the key behind Celtic’s win over Kilmarnock last weekend.

Gordon kept a clean sheet as the Bhoys recorded a 2-0 win over Kilmarnock at Celtic Park. The defending league champions climbed up to fourth in the table on 20 points, three points adrift of league leaders Hamilton.

The Celtic shot-stopper believes that playing two up front tilted the balance of the game towards his side and he lauded manager Ronny Deila’s gumption to go on the attack against Kilmarnock.

“With the two strikers up top, it changed the dynamic of our game slightly”, the Celtic custodian told the club’s official site.

“Kilmarnock had three in the middle against our two and there was a balancing act trying to get the ball to our strikers while winning the battle in the middle of the park.

“It was a different way of looking at things and a different option for the manager but I thought they [Guidetti and Scepovic] played well together.”

Celtic have won three on the bounce at home and in the process have scored nine goals, which Gordon feels should be par for the course at Celtic Park.

“That’s what our supporters should expect when we are at home, to be on the front foot and creating chances.”
