Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has explained that he expects Diego Costa to return to action for his side’s Premier League fixture against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

The Spain international, who joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid in the summer, was in fine form for his new employers, scoring nine goals in seven appearances, before picking up a recurring hamstring problem.

As a result, Costa has missed Chelsea’s last three league outings and was also ruled out of their League Cup clash against Shrewsbury Town, which his side won 2-1 last night.

However Mourinho, who blamed the Spanish national team for aggravating the striker’s injury, insisted that Costa is in line to feature against QPR along with Ramires.

The Portuguese tactician further added that Loic Remy and Cesar Azpilicueta are the only two sure absentees for the weekend’s fixture at Stamford Bridge.
