James Rodriguez has claimed that playing at Real Madrid was always his goal since his childhood days.

The Colombian had a fantastic World Cup where he scored six goals in five appearances in his country’s run to the quarter-finals.

His performance in Brazil made him a hot property in the summer transfer window and Real Madrid quickly snapped him up from Monaco after the tournament.

And the 23-year-old has revealed that it was his childhood dream to play for the European champions.

Rodriguez considers himself to be lucky to be playing for Real Madrid and wants to stay at the club as many years as possible.
