Former Heerenveen player and coach Gertjan Verbeek believes that it is too soon for Daley Sinkgraven to go to Manchester United, with the young midfielder having significant developing to do first.

Sinkgraven has been strongly linked with Manchester United and is thought to be a target of Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal, who is fully aware of the midfielder's strong performances in the Eredivisie.




Ajax and PSV Eindhoven also want Sinkgraven and Verbeek is clear in his view that it is too soon for the starlet to move to the Premier League.

 


"You can see that physically he is still coming up short", the 52-year-old told Voetbal International.

"He is a boy who has come from the youth ranks to the first team and needs to be replaced at the end of the match because of cramp.

"When that's the case you're not ready to play football in the Premier League."

Sinkgraven, who can also operate on the wing in addition to in midfield, has represented the Netherlands from Under-17 level through to Under-21 level.

The 19-year-old is still waiting for his senior Netherlands debut however.
