QPR manager Harry Redknapp says he would have no problem fielding midfielder Adel Taarabt against Chelsea this weekend, with the Moroccan having knuckled down this week.

Redknapp was recently involved in a very public spat with Taarabt, in which he accused him of being overweight and unwilling to put in the hard yards, explaining that was why he had not been involved regularly this term.

However, the manager insists the situation with Taarabt has now vastly improved and the injury situation at Loftus Road means he could well involve the midfielder against Chelsea.

"It depends on how many I've got fit", Redknapp told a press conference when asked if Taarabt could be involved against Chelsea.

"Looking at the squad this morning again, there's quite a few not available.

"I wouldn't hesitate to put him in the squad. I had a good chat with him on Monday and he's trained very well this week.

"If he keeps training well we'll have to see. He's a player that can turn a game."

Redknapp's QPR head into the Chelsea clash on the back of a morale-boosting win over Aston Villa on Monday night that moved them off the bottom of the Premier League table.
