Stuart Pearce feels that Tom Ince’s loan move to Nottingham Forest from Hull will be fantastic for both the club and the player.

The winger has joined the Championship outfit on a short-term loan until the end of December after failing to nail down a place in Steve Bruce’s Hull side.

The 22-year-old joined the Tigers from Blackpool in the summer, but he has been limited to only three Premier League appearances and has not seen any league action since August.

With the loan move to Forest, the winger will be hoping to see some first team action in the Championship and the Forest manager feels that the club and the player will both benefit from the move.

"He needs first-team football and a challenge”, the former England international told BBC Radio Nottingham.

“He's not featured much for Hull, so this move – for him and us – will be fantastic.”

Forest are seventh in the Championship table on 22 points and Pearce will be hoping that Ince can provide the impetus in their bid for promotion to the Premier League.
