Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot’s agents have stressed that their client is not keen on a move to Ajax, but is willing to join Roma.

Rabiot’s contract with PSG will expire at end of the season and he was linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham during the summer, two English clubs who are credited with still monitoring his situation at the Parc des Princes.

The Frenchman refused to sign a new contract with the Parisians earlier this year as he felt he was not getting enough opportunities at the club.

Laurent Blanc has relegated Rabiot to training with the reserves and the youngster is yet to see a single minute of action this season.

The Frenchman is believed to be all but set to leave the club in January and Roma are the favourites to land the highly-rated youngster.

Ajax have also shown a keen interest in the 19-year-old, but Rabiot’s agents have confirmed that the Dutch club are not in the running.

They also added that Rabiot is not willing to sign a new contract with PSG and is keen to join Roma in January.

“It is not expected that Rabiot will join Ajax”, a spokesman of the Frenchman’s sports management company Mondial Sport Management & Consulting Sarl told Ajax Showtime.

“Paris Saint-Germain would like to extend his contract but Rabiot is willing to leave PSG and join Roma.

“The club have a French coach in Rudi Garcia and Serie A is a much better league than the Eredivise.”
