Celtic custodian Craig Gordon has insisted that his side will be prepared to face any team in the semi-finals of the League Cup, the draw for which will take place tomorrow.

The Hoops progressed to the last-four stage of the competition after thrashing Patrick Thistle 6-0 on Wednesday, with the other three semi-finalists being Dundee United, Aberdeen and Rangers.

However Gordon, who explained that Celtic are determined to win the League Cup, declared that his side are not worried about who they will face in their bid to reach the final of the competition.

“It doesn’t make any difference who I would like to play”, he told the club’s official site.

"Our aim is to win the trophy and whoever we play it will be a difficult game.

“There are three other very good sides left in the draw so it makes no difference. We still want to win the cup.

“Every player wants to play in big games and a semi-final is a big enough game regardless of who we play, so it doesn’t make any difference.

"We will prepare for the semi-final when it comes along and it’s a few months away now so we have plenty time and plenty games to go in between.”

Celtic, who have a game in hand, are currently fourth in the Scottish Premiership table with 20 points from 10 games, three behind leaders Hamilton Academical.

Ronny Deila’s side will next face Inverness CT at Celtic Park tomorrow.
