Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kyle Naughton has revealed that his team will do everything in their power to win something this season.

The Lilywhites managed to reach the quarter-finals of the League Cup with a 2-0 victory against Championship side Brighton and Hove Albion on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old, who returned to action during the match and managed to impress instantly with his runs down the right flank, believes that the performance was proof of their improvement.

He was also impressed with the team's defensive display as the back four proved to be excellent, successfully maintaining a clean sheet.

“A clean sheet is always positive, I thought the back four were excellent", Naughton told his club's official site.

"The whole team was good from the goalkeeper to the strikers."

He also took time to talk about their aim in the tournament, insisting that his team are looking to give everything to win something this year and the League Cup is no different.

"Our aim is to win something and we’ll give it our all in all the competitions and this one is no different.”
