Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn believes his side's luck will soon turn if they continue to work hard, after he watched them twice take the lead but twice pegged back by Charlton Athletic at Elland Road this evening.

The Whites had to wait until the second half to open the scoring, when Alex Mowatt struck in the 49th minute, handing them the lead.

But Charlton hit back through Johann Berg Gudmundsson in the 62nd minute to level matters.

Mowatt though fired Leeds back into the lead just five minutes later and the Whites looked on course to see out the game and claim a win.

However, a Giuseppe Bellusci foul on Tal Ben Haim allowed Gudmundsson to level once again from the penalty spot, leaving Leeds disappointed.

But Redfearn is determined not to be downbeat.

He told LUTV: "We'll go on to Saturday [against Blackpool] and I want the same sort of performance.

"If we keep working hard, our luck will change.

"These players are going to get dragged through it; they're going to work hard."

Redfearn also hailed Mowatt as "an outstanding talent".
