Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho could not believe the amount of noise that QPR's supporters made at Stamford Bridge last weekend, R's boss Harry Redknapp has claimed.

Mourinho made headlines after the match by criticising the Chelsea supporters for being too quiet. But behind the Portuguese's concern may have been the impact the QPR fans had at the game.

Redknapp feels that his side's 3,000 fans sounded like 15,000 and believes they hugely impressed Mourinho.

"I don't think he could believe the amount of noise they were making up in that corner on Saturday", Redknapp told a press conference.

"I think we had 3,000 fans there, but it sounded like 15,000."

And Redknapp stressed the impact fans can have on a team's performances, something he thinks supporters may sometimes not quite realise.

"I don't think supporters realise they can make or break a team.

"When they are behind you it can make a real difference to your team", the QPR boss added.
